Actress Shin Min Ah openly discussed her newlywed life with her husband Kim Woo Bin in a preview clip released for tvN’s You Quiz on the Block, sending the studio into fits of laughter as soon as she spoke.

When asked what she says most often at home, Shin Min Ah replied, “‘The packages are here, there are too many packages, hurry up and open them,'” before adding, “There’s no one at home, just packages arriving constantly,” making everyone on set burst into laughter. As for what she hears most frequently from her husband, she shyly shared that Kim Woo Bin praises her often. “I’m too shy to say it out loud,” she confessed, before revealing that he frequently tells her she is “very pretty.” She sweetly boasted, “Even when my condition is really bad, he still says it. Even when I look at myself and think I’ve gained weight or look terrible, he still says, ‘You’re the prettiest person I’ve ever seen.'”
Shin Min Ah also revealed that she naturally gains muscle easily, something Kim Woo Bin envies. She mentioned that recently feeling she has consumed too much carbohydrates and sodium, she has been managing her diet by sticking to weight-loss soups, salads, and fruits as much as possible. When asked about her workout volume, she explained, “If I do strength training, my muscle mass increases significantly, which is something my husband envies,” adding, “After just a few days of working out, my muscles immediately pop out. While it’s enviable, I have both fat and muscle, so it’s really easy for me to look bulky,” revealing her charming minor concern.
Reflecting on her thoughts after turning 40, host Yoo Jae Suk brought up what Shin Min Ah said when she appeared on You Quiz on the Block six years ago: “In my 10s and 20s, I felt the road ahead was too far and felt rushed; in my 30s, I felt the things I should discard and the things I should carry with me were gradually narrowing down.” When Yoo Jae Suk asked the 43-year-old actress what she has discarded and carried forward now, Shin Min Ah laughed and said, “Looking back at myself back then, I sounded way too mature. It was both cute and funny, acting like I understood and realized everything, though some of it was true.”
She continued, “What I meant back then was probably that I wanted to be the best, hoped to be special, and wanted to stand out, but now I feel those things aren’t very meaningful. The same goes for personal relationships—they might just be relationships I liked unilaterally, so I’ve gradually gotten used to letting go of that obsession.” She added, “It might sound childish to frame it by age, but now I feel like I finally have the skill to distinguish between obsession and passion.”
Shin Min Ah and actor Kim Woo Bin, who is five years her junior, publicly dated for 10 years before tying the knot last December. Her upcoming Disney+ original series The Remarried Empress is set to premiere on November 4, and she is currently filming MBC’s new Friday-Saturday drama Wed Thurs Fri, scheduled to air next January.
