On July 24, the first day of WATERBOMB Seoul 2026 took place, kicking off one of the summer’s hottest and most anticipated music festivals.
Numerous performers have taken the stage, including several prominent K-pop groups. Among them was KISS OF LIFE, who returned as WATERBOMB alumni.
The group delivered a high-energy performance featuring many of their summer hits. They also showcased an unreleased track titled “SWEAT”.
During one of their songs, members Natty and Belle faced each other before sharing a brief kiss, a moment captured from multiple fan angles.
According to fans, the members later explained after the event that the kiss was accidental, with Belle mentioning that she misjudged the distance between them.
Once footage of the moment went viral online, it drew a wide range of reactions. Many fans expressed excitement, with some making puns on the group’s name.
However, the incident also sparked criticism from some netizens, who accused the group of “queerbaiting” and attempting to regain attention following previous controversies.
Meanwhile, others defended the idols against the queerbaiting accusations, arguing that real individuals cannot “queerbait” and warning against making assumptions about their sexuality.
