IVE members An Yujin and Jang Wonyoung are making headlines as leading examples of K-pop’s “young and rich” generation following recent reports regarding their luxury real estate investments.
According to a July 10th report by the Maeil Business Newspaper, An Yujin was reportedly selected through a highly competitive general subscription lottery for DH Bangbae, a premier luxury apartment complex in Seoul scheduled for occupancy this September. However, specific details regarding her selection remain unconfirmed, with her agency stating that the matter is “difficult to verify” due to it being part of the artist’s private life.
Although DH Bangbae was sold under South Korea’s strict price cap system, the complex attracted overwhelming investor interest because it carries no mandatory owner-occupancy requirement. A standard 84㎡ unit was initially priced at approximately 2.2 billion KRW (around 1.6 million USD) during the pre-sale phase. With similar units in the area currently valued at around 4 billion KRW (about 2.9 million USD), the investment represents a massive potential capital gain of roughly 1.8 billion KRW (1.3 million USD).
As news of An Yujin’s rumored real estate success spread, public attention quickly shifted to the impressive asset portfolio of her fellow IVE member, Jang Wonyoung.
It was previously revealed that Jang Wonyoung purchased a luxury villa at the ultra-exclusive Lucid House complex in UN Village, Hannam-dong, for 13.7 billion KRW (approximately 10 million USD). She reportedly finalized the acquisition of the 244㎡ residence in March 2025. Because no mortgage registration was filed on the property, local real estate media widely speculated that the multi-million dollar purchase was made entirely in cash.
Lucid House is an elite residential estate consisting of just 15 highly secure units, notably recognized as the former neighborhood residence of celebrity power-couple Kim Tae Hee and Rain. Jang Wonyoung has consistently drawn eyes for her high-end lifestyle, recently showcasing a designer sofa on her personal social media accounts that is reportedly valued at 200 million KRW (around 145,000 USD).
Both An Yujin and Jang Wonyoung have built remarkably lucrative careers through IVE’s chart-topping musical activities, high-profile endorsement deals, and roles as global ambassadors for major luxury fashion houses.
