Shin Hye Sun has been confirmed to star in SBS’s upcoming drama ‘Dash (working title).’

On June 1, SBS officially announced both the production of ‘Dash’ and Shin Hye Sun’s casting. The actress will take on the role of Min Hwa Young, the head prosecutor of the Special Investigation Division 1 at the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office.

Min Hwa Young is a character who chose to become a prosecutor to uncover the truth behind her mother’s mysterious death. After overcoming countless external pressures, she rises to the powerful Special Investigation Division 1, where the highest authority within the prosecution office is concentrated. However, just as she prepares to begin a major investigation, her husband becomes a murder suspect. Despite being forced to doubt the person she loves and facing interference from those around her, she continues pursuing the truth.

The production team explained the casting by saying, “Shin Hye Sun was the only actress capable of fully portraying Min Hwa Young’s desperate and intense narrative.” They added, “The combination of Shin Hye Sun’s overwhelming on-screen presence and SBS’s expertise in producing genre dramas will deliver a powerful catharsis unlike anything viewers have seen before.”

‘Dash’ is described as a mystery suspense melodrama that follows prosecutor Min Hwa Young as she relentlessly tracks down the truth surrounding her husband. The drama is scheduled to air in 2027.

Meanwhile, Shin Hye Sun recently appeared in the tvN drama ‘Filing for Love,’ which concluded on May 31, and also starred in the recent Netflix series ‘The Art of Sarah.’
