BABYMONSTER is set to release a new digital single, “DESERVE,” on October 23, coming approximately four months after “SUGAR HONEY ICE TEA” in June. Yang Hyun Suk revealed that while it is a slow-tempo track, its energy is more intense than anything the group has released so far, blending delicate vocals with explosive singing power to convey deep emotion. He also hinted at a new album scheduled for early next year, further heightening fans’ expectations.

Meanwhile, TREASURE will release their new digital single, “SHOCK,” on November 2, featuring a powerful hip-hop sound. Yang Hyun Suk shared that starting with the mini-album NEW WAV, the group has been undergoing a major shift in musical direction, and this new track will build upon that change to kick off TREASURE’s new promotional era leading into 2027.

In addition to new music from existing groups, YG is simultaneously preparing debut plans for a 5-member boy group and a 4-member girl group. Both teams are expected to complete demo recordings for several candidate tracks by the end of this year, after which debut dates will be set once lead singles are chosen. For the girl group, three members have already been introduced through the “YG NEXT MONSTER” project: EVELLI from Australia, CHANYA from Thailand, and KAYCI of Korean-Chinese descent. The young yet talented lineup has already drawn significant interest. Meanwhile, the identities of the boy group members remain under wraps, generating keen anticipation.

However, Yang Hyun Suk’s late-night announcement time also sparked discussions among netizens. Some speculated whether it was linked to former SM Entertainment Executive Producer Lee Soo-man’s recent announcement of a new rookie group; others noted that YG has never adhered to a fixed announcement schedule, making late-night or early-morning updates fairly normal. From new music release schedules to rookie group debuts, the upcoming “YG ANNOUNCEMENT” video expected at the end of the year has become a major focal point for fans worldwide.
