Actress Lee Min Jung revealed her personal secrets to maintaining her figure, including her habit of dividing her food into smaller portions throughout the day and avoiding overeating.
In a video uploaded to her YouTube channel on October 20, Lee Min Jung responded to questions about her diet methods, stating: “I really dislike eating until I’m completely stuffed to the point where I can’t enjoy my next meal or a snack.”

She explained that rather than eating large portions in a single sitting, she prefers to eat lightly whenever she feels hungry and moderately enjoys her subsequent meals. Lee Min Jung noted, “If I feel a bit hungry in between, I’ll eat a small sandwich. When you add it all up, I eat five meals a day, but the total amount is similar to what others eat in three meals. I just divide it up.”
She also shared her approach to controlling meal portions. For instance, if she plans to eat meat for dinner, instead of filling up during earlier meals, she thinks, “To enjoy that meat, let me eat a little less right now rather than finishing everything.” She added, “I don’t starve myself until I’m dying of hunger either,” explaining that she satisfies her hunger appropriately rather than recklessly skipping meals.
When experiencing intense cravings while dieting, Lee Min Jung recommended drinking water first. “What I recommend most to people who want to lose weight is actually water,” she said. “When you feel hungry and find it a bit tough, try drinking three glasses of water first. If you’re still hungry after that, go ahead and eat.”
She also emphasized the importance of exercise. Sharing that she practiced yoga intensely in her twenties, Lee Min Jung reflected, “Because I did yoga so diligently back then, my body is able to endure now.” She explained that using yoga to strengthen the inner thigh and lower abdominal muscles is particularly crucial.
Although she is currently taking a break from working out, she revealed plans to resume soon. “Once I have free time, I want to do yoga again,” she said. “I can’t live without exercising.”
When asked about managing arm fat, she answered that diet and exercise must come first. Lee Min Jung advised, “The most important thing is to focus on diet and exercise first, and then address whatever is left. Without doing those, cosmetic procedures alone won’t produce dramatic transformations.”
She continued, “You need to lose weight first before visiting a clinic. Cosmetic procedures won’t lose the weight for you,” conveying her belief that diet and exercise should always take priority over relying solely on procedures.
