The drama 100 Days of Deception, starring Kim Yoo Jung, continues to soar in popularity! Beyond approaching the 10% viewership milestone, the series successfully surpassed the Kim Ji Won-starrer Doctor X: Mafia in White in topicality, claiming the No. 1 spot on the Korean TV-OTT Integrated Drama BuzzWorthiness Chart for two consecutive weeks with an impressive performance.
According to data released on November 3 by South Korea’s Good Data Corporation FUNdex for the fifth week of October (October 26 to November 1), 100 Days of Deception captured the top spot with a 9.36% share of drama topicality, leading Doctor X‘s 7.96%. The series depicts a 100-day espionage romance unfolding in the heart of enemy territory after Gyeongseong’s top pickpocket becomes a secret agent and encounters an elite translator from the Japanese Government-General of Korea. Climbing steadily from third place in the second week of October, the production has now held the top spot for two consecutive weeks as interest in its plot continues to mount.

Viewership ratings are similarly on a steady upward trajectory! According to Nielsen Korea’s nationwide paid platform household statistics, the drama premiered with 5.3% for Episode 1, rose to 7.6% for Episode 2, reached 9.0% for Episode 4, hit 9.5% for Episode 6, and climbed to 9.8% for Episode 8. Refreshing its own personal best record every week, the show is now just a step away from breaking the 10% mark, raising high expectations among viewers.
Even more thrilling for drama fans is that the leads have achieved top honors in individual performer rankings as well! For the fifth week of October, Park Jinyoung took the No. 1 spot, followed closely by Kim Yoo Jung in second place. The two lead actors swept the top two spots, dethroning Kim Ji Won of Doctor X, who had previously held the top spot for three consecutive weeks. Beyond the main leads’ bright popularity, Kim Hyun Joo and Jin Sun Kyu also showcased their respective character charms, with Jin Sun Kyu receiving widespread praise for his natural and fluent Japanese acting performance, adding even greater conviction to the characters.

On the other hand, Doctor X: Mafia in White, which previously topped the buzzworthiness charts for the second and third weeks of October, took second place this week. Other series ranking in the top ten include Netflix’s Last-Minute Part-Timer in third place, MBC’s Friday-Saturday drama The Perfect Lie in fourth, and ENA’s Between Steps in fifth; sixth through tenth places were occupied by A Love Other Than Yours, Love in Disguise, Final Table, The Remarried Empress, and Love on the Menu, respectively.
