Although actress Cha Ye Ryun completely denied allegations of school bullying, controversy continues to swirl online as a flood of suspicious comments regarding her past behavior surfaces.

On October 30, Cha Ye Ryun’s agency, HB Entertainment, issued an official statement regarding the recent school violence allegations, stating, “After verification, the claims are completely groundless.”

The controversy erupted on October 29 when an exposure post titled “1985-born Actress School Violence Perpetrator, Please Stop Promoting” was published on an online community.

The author, “A,” claimed that they suffered continuous harassment and physical assault during their school days at the hands of Actress “C,” who graduated from Junggye Middle School in Seoul.

In particular, “A” pleaded, “She mostly slapped my cheeks until my eardrum ruptured and my face swelled up,” adding, “Because of her, I am still visiting a psychiatry clinic, taking medication, and living with depression and anxiety to this day.”

Although “A” did not reveal the actress’s real name, netizens identified Cha Ye Ryun based on her birth year and graduated middle school, causing the controversy to spread rapidly.

Despite the agency’s immediate denial, online reactions remained divided.

In the comment sections of related news articles, responses raising further suspicions emerged, such as “Her classmates and neighbors used to shudder at her name,” “Didn’t a classmate from the same school post an article about this a few years ago?” and “The victims aren’t just one or two people.”

On the other hand, some expressed cautious viewpoints, stating, “We will see whether it is groundless or not as time goes on.” However, the past exposures and classmate claims mentioned in the comments remain unverified to date.
