Another bombshell news story has rocked the South Korean entertainment industry! On the 15th, Korean media reported that 42-year-old singer-artist Solbi and 46-year-old actor Lee Kyu Han plan to marry next year. The couple never made their relationship public, skipping dating confirmation to announce their marriage and leaving fans astonished: “When did they even start dating?”
According to an exclusive report by Korean media outlet News1, Solbi and Lee Kyu Han decided to enter marriage based on deep mutual trust and confidence in one another. The two recently completed the formal sanggyeonrye (meeting between the parents of both families) and have officially begun marriage preparations, currently searching for a wedding venue as they take steps toward their big day. Because their relationship had never been disclosed, the sudden marriage news caught the public completely by surprise.

Shortly after, Solbi’s agency, Jian Castle, released an official statement confirming the news, verifying that the couple has committed to spending their lives together and plans to hold their wedding in April 2027. In their statement, Jian Castle expressed: “Singer and artist Solbi and actor Lee Kyu Han, based on their mutual trust and love, have promised to form a marital bond.” According to the agency, during the recent meeting between their parents, the two families exchanged views and reached an agreement regarding the marriage. The wedding is scheduled for April 2027 and will be held privately, attended only by family, relatives, and close friends.
In fact, the couple previously appeared together as cast members on the third season of the variety show In Search of Lasting Connections, which aired on KBS Joy and KBS 2TV from July to September 2025. Looking back now, their interactions on the show seem to have dropped subtle hints all along, leading fans to exclaim: “So they were already together back then!”
Solbi debuted in 2006 as a member of the co-ed group Typhoon, later becoming a successful solo singer and popular variety personality. In 2010, she began devoting herself to fine art, actively painting under her real name, Kwon Ji-an. In 2021, she won the prestigious Grand Prix (Global Artist Award) at the Barcelona International Art Awards, cementing her reputation as a multi-talented crossover artist.

Lee Kyu Han made his acting debut in the 1998 MBC weekend drama Love and Success. Since then, he has consistently built a solid career with versatile performances in numerous hit series, including KAIST, My Lovely Sam Soon, the Rude Miss Young-ae series, The Haunted Palace, Graceful Family, and The Judge from Hell

This unexpected union of “skipping the public relationship and going straight to marriage” has left many netizens playfully commenting: “Is it a new trend to skip public dating and announce marriage directly?” and “Congratulations! But this was truly out of nowhere!”
