Actor Jang Dong-yoon and actress Kim Seung-yoon will marry this October following a long-term relationship. Jang Dong-yoon’s agency, BH Entertainment, confirmed the news on August 25. The agency revealed that the couple will tie the knot during a private ceremony with only their immediate families in attendance.
BH Entertainment shared that Jang Dong-yoon, 34, and Kim Seung-yoon, 29, have dated for several years. The couple plans to host their October wedding as an intimate worship service, inviting only family members from both sides.
Jang Dong-yoon also addressed fans directly by sharing a handwritten letter on social media. In his letter, the actor reflected on how their relationship grew over time. He explained that spending many years together allowed them to discover and understand different sides of each other. He wrote that they now cherish each other deeply and want to support one another while building a happy life together. Jang Dong-yoon also promised to work hard as an actor and grow into a more mature person.
The couple’s relationship stands out because they also share a rich history of professional creative projects. Kim Seung-yoon made her acting debut in 2019 through The Tale of Nokdu, a historical romantic drama that starred Jang Dong-yoon. She later acted in projects like For Eagle Brothers! and director Hong Sang-soo’s film In Water. Their creative collaboration continued after Jang Dong-yoon expanded his career into filmmaking.
Beyond acting, Jang Dong-yoon has built a solid reputation as a filmmaker. He made his directorial debut with the 2023 short film Please Be My Ears and later directed his first feature film, Yeonok, in April 2026. Kim Seung-yoon starred in both of his directorial projects.
