K-drama fans can look forward to an exciting new pairing. The upcoming office romance series Iseop’s Romance updated its casting news, announcing that actress Choi Yoon Ji will star alongside Lee Jong Suk, who previously confirmed his lead role.
On August 11, a representative from production company ACE Factory officially announced, “Actress Choi Yoon Ji will join the cast of Iseop’s Romance.”
Iseop’s Romance is a chaotic office rom-com about Tae I-seop, a man who avoids doing anything, and Kang Min-kyung, a woman who must succeed at everything. Lee Jong-suk plays Tae I-seop, a third-generation chaebol heir who excels at everything except love. Meanwhile, Choi Yoon-ji takes on the female lead as Kang Min-kyung, a high-achieving employee known as “TK Group’s secret weapon”.
The most intriguing aspect of this project is its “Shared Universe” format. The production team is creating Iseop’s Romance alongside another series, Careless Lie (starring Lee Jun-hyuk). Both series connect through the relationship between two TK Group cousins: Tae I-seop (Lee Jong-suk) and Tae Jun-seop (Lee Jun-hyuk). This shared storytelling model presents a fresh approach for fans.
Top production teams—Bon Factory, ACE Factory, and A-Man Media—are joining forces to bring this interconnected universe to life.
Full-scale production for Iseop’s Romance and its connected universe will begin in the second half of this year, with an expected broadcast date in 2027.
