Great news for fans! tvN has officially announced the lead actor for its upcoming drama, “Gift.” Kim Woo-bin will star in the project, which blends sports, drama, and fantasy.
On August 5, tvN released an official statement. They confirmed, “The new series ‘Gift’ will premiere in the second half of 2026. Actor Kim Woo-bin is confirmed for the lead role.”
The drama is based on a popular Kakao Webtoon by Jeong-I-Ri-Ri. It follows a former pro pitching coach who gains a supernatural power after an unexpected accident. Destiny then leads him to coach the nation’s lowest-ranked high school baseball team.
Kim Woo-bin plays Jung Min-yong. His special power allows him to see a person’s hidden baseball talent. After leaving professional baseball, he takes over the bottom-tier high school squad. He begins a mission to transform the team using his unique training methods.
