Jung Hae-in makes a highly anticipated comeback in Our Sticky Love, a new Netflix original series. This follows his successful dive into the romantic comedy genre, which earned enthusiastic fan reception. Teaming up with rising star Ha Young, the show explores how a simple lie sparks a new romance. The story is set against the backdrop of a charming small village filled with the sweet aroma of traditional Korean taffy (yeot).

Our Sticky Love follows Go Eun-sae (played by Ha Young). She is a rising prosecutor chasing a major case who loses her memory in a severe accident. She wakes up in a small clinic located in a rural village. There, she meets Jang Tae-ha (played by Jung Hae-in), a young boxing coach. He firmly insists, “I am your boyfriend.” Although Eun-sae remains suspicious, his sincerity and care gradually break down her walls. As their relationship deepens, secrets about a forgotten first love and an organized crime syndicate catch up with them.

Jung Hae-in plays Jang Tae-ha, a gifted former youth boxing champion who once strayed into gang life. He severs ties with his past to start fresh as a local trainer. Soon, he reunites with his first love, only to find her in grave danger. To protect her, he constructs a pivotal lie.

Ha Young plays Go Eun-sae, a brilliant, decisive, and relentless prosecutor from the Anti-Corruption Investigation Division. While pursuing a criminal organization, she suffers a memory-wiping accident. She wakes up in the countryside cohabiting with a man claiming to be her boyfriend. Despite her skepticism, his genuine warmth slowly leads her to fall in love with him.

Our Sticky Love marks over a decade since Jung Hae-in’s acting debut. It serves as his second romantic comedy following the warmly received Love Next Door. This time, he pairs up with Ha Young, a rising actress known for The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call and Teach You a Lesson. Both actors constantly exchanged ideas during filming to build a charming, heart-fluttering chemistry.

Another highlight of the series is its use of yeot (traditional Korean taffy) as a key motif. Director Kim Jang-han explained, “This series is a story about love gradually binding two hearts tightly together, much like the sweet stickiness of yeot.”

The series blends sweet romance, criminal intrigue, and the symbolic Korean taffy that binds the leads together. Viewers can look forward to a heartwarming, uplifting, and thrilling experience. Our Sticky Love premieres on Netflix on August 7, complete with subtitles and dubbed options.
