On July 23, Jennie posted two teaser videos across her official social media channels. The clips offer a glimpse into the music video shoot for her new solo track, “Less than a Lover,” set to drop on July 24.
The videos feature Taiwanese model Nah Kai—who previously sparked curiosity in earlier teasers—by Jennie’s side. In one scene, the two sit together on a beach, enjoying a quiet moment while gazing out at a sunset-lit sea. Jennie peels an orange and hands it to Nah Kai, who naturally accepts it, creating a cozy atmosphere reminiscent of a real couple.
A subsequent TikTok video captured an even closer interaction between the two. Boarding a classic yacht surrounded by open blue waters, Nah Kai wraps his arms around Jennie from behind. Leaning gently against his chest while taking in the ocean breeze, Jennie delivers a captivating, cinematic moment that significantly raises expectations for the official music video.
On July 21, Jennie’s agency, OA Entertainment (ODD ATELIER), officially announced the solo single “Less than a Lover” alongside a teaser poster featuring a mysterious male figure whose face was covered with a heart sticker. His identity was later revealed to be Nah Kai, a Taiwanese model actively working in South Korea, generating significant buzz online.
Jennie’s new single, “Less than a Lover,” is scheduled for release on July 24 at 1:00 PM KST.
