The Korean Business Research Institute has officially released the brand reputation rankings for K-Pop girl groups for July 2026. The rankings were derived from an analysis of consumer participation, media coverage, interaction, and community awareness indexes across girl groups using big data collected from June 12 to July 12, 2026.
I.O.I captured the #1 spot with a total brand reputation index of 5,552,322. High-ranking keyword terms associated with the group for July included “Suddenly”, “Yang Eui-ji”, and “10th Anniversary”. Their top related terms included “unchanging”, “reunite”, and “prove”. The group recorded a high positive reaction score of 92.86%.
This month, I.O.I’s 10th-anniversary comeback track, “Suddenly”, continued its strong momentum, earning its first-ever Triple Crown (three consecutive wins) on MBC’s Show! Music Core. The song also gained massive popularity in Korean baseball after fans incorporated the name of Doosan Bears player Yang Eui-ji into the lyrics, turning it into a popular stadium cheer.

Rising rookie group RESCENE climbed to #2 in July with a brand reputation index of 4,239,616, representing a 64.27% increase from June. Boosted by the viral phrase “Geoje Yaho” from their social media content, the group made a quick comeback with a special remake single of KARA’s “Pretty Girl”. Meanwhile, their previous releases “Love Attack” and “Glow Up” experienced a resurgence on music charts.

ILLIT held onto the #3 spot with a brand reputation index of 3,883,353, up 1.38% compared to June. ILLIT has been actively engaging with fans through their first concert tour in Japan, ILLIT LIVE ‘PRESS START♥︎’, and is gearing up to release their second Japanese single, “I Got Your Back”, on July 26.

BLACKPINK took #4 with a total brand reputation index of 3,822,722. Despite having no full-group activities in July, the members continued to dominate individually. Jennie performed as a headliner at Poland’s Open’er Festival 2026 and debuted her new track “Heaven” at Spain’s Mad Cool Festival. Lisa traveled to Thailand for the ULTIMUNE with LISA in Bangkok event at CentralWorld and featured on the cover of Vanity Fair’s Summer 2026 issue with the pictorial The Life of a K-Pop Showgirl. Meanwhile, Rosé graced three cover versions of Vogue Korea’s July edition featuring Saint Laurent.

Rounding out the TOP 5 is LE SSERAFIM with a brand reputation index of 3,403,644, marking a 55.17% increase from June. Following the viral success of their hit tracks “BOOMPALA” and “CELEBRATION”, the group kicked off their 2026 LE SSERAFIM TOUR ‘PUREFLOW’ in South Korea on July 11–12.
