Singer and actress Kang Mina has directly addressed rumors of discord with I.O.I members.

Recently, Kang Mina explained the rumors through a fan communication platform, stating, “Even today, the members and I send each other messages almost daily, saying we miss each other and congratulating one another. Yet there are rumors of discord and whatnot.”
She added, “Why do people live so exhaustingly?” and “Instead of that, why not celebrate the girls’ number one achievements more?”
I.O.I is a project girl group formed through the Mnet survival program Produce 101 in 2016. To celebrate their 10th anniversary, they released the new album I.O.I : LOOP on the 19th and have resumed activities.
However, members Kang Mina and Joo Kyung-eun were unable to participate in the album due to pre-scheduled commitments. As rumors of discord among members persisted, Kang Mina directly addressed the issue to put an end to the speculation.
Meanwhile, Kang Mina appeared in the Netflix series If Wishes Could Kill, released last month. During a press briefing, she mentioned her absence from the I.O.I 10th-anniversary album, stating, “I believed it was right to prioritize my acting commitments that were already scheduled. I feel deeply sorry toward the fans. I will focus on my acting and show you a good performance.”
