On the afternoon of August 31st, Taeyang held a solo concert called “TAEYANG 2024 TOUR [THE LIGHT YEAR] IN SEOUL” at Olympic Hall in Olympic Park, Songpa-gu, Seoul.
At the event, after all the performances were over, Taeyang thanked the fans for filling up the seats. “There are so many people who helped me prepare for this concert. I am so grateful to the fans that I can’t express in words,” he said.
Taeyang then added, “The Black Label listened to all the things I wanted to do. I’m really grateful for that,” expressing his special affection for Teddy, the head of The Black Label.
In particular, he said, “I can’t see it, but as far as I remember, the staff who prepared the concert with me haven’t slept for a few weeks. Thank you to all the staff of The Black Label. I think they had a hard time preparing for the stage because I was very sensitive, I’m sorry to take this opportunity,” drawing laughter.
Taeyang earlier did a cover of Dynamic Duo’s “Smoke” and Jeon So-mi’s “Fast Forward.” Jeon So-mi, who was a guest at the concert, said, “I was watching from behind, but he was definitely not that good at ‘Fast Forward’ without me,” and Tae-yang said, “That’s true. I can feel it when I do it with the original singer.”
Jeon So-mi heated up the atmosphere with “Fast Forward” and her new song “ICE CREAM” while Taeyang went to change for the next stage. Jeon So-mi’s energetic energy gave her a different charm from Taeyang.
Jeon said, “I am also a VIP (BIGBANG’s fandom name). As a former VIP, it is a great honor to be a guest. I think the atmosphere of the concert was so good, I hope it will help me a little bit,” and added, “I will stir and have fun as if it is my own concert.”
