On September 8, Han So Hee attended a press interview in Jongno, Seoul. She spoke about her new film, The Intern, ahead of its release.

Opening on September 16, The Intern follows Sun-woo (Han So Hee). She is a young CEO who built a top fashion brand in three years. Her life changes when Ki-ho (Choi Min Sik) joins her firm. He is a 60-something intern with 37 years of work experience. Their union creates a fun cross-generational office dynamic.

The film remakes the 2015 Hollywood hit The Intern. Director Kim Do Young, who helmed Kim Ji-young: Born 1982, leads the new Korean version.

During the interview, reporters asked what job Han So Hee would choose as an intern. She picked “entertainment reporter.” She joked about asking stars personal questions like, “When are you marrying?”

Reporters then turned the question back to her. “I want to marry before I turn 40,” she replied. “I actually think more about having a baby.”

When asked about her ideal partner, she recalled a past show appearance. “I want someone stable,” she said, referencing Lee Young Ji’s YouTube show.

She then added with a laugh, “Someone genetically handsome and stable… for our children.”

Han So Hee also revealed she might pause her career for motherhood. “I don’t think I would act after giving birth,” she noted. “I want to create good memories until my child enters school.”

Her candid remarks about marriage and a career break surprised even her agency staff.
