SEVENTEEN members Mingyu, Seungkwan, and Dino are preparing to fulfil their mandatory military service. Mingyu will begin his service in September. Meanwhile, Seungkwan and Dino will enlist in the army military band together in October.
On August 10, 2026, PLEDIS Entertainment released an official statement regarding the enlistment dates for the three members. The agency revealed that Mingyu will start his public service on September 10. Seungkwan and Dino will enter the army military band on October 26.
According to the agency, all three members will participate in scheduled official activities before their enlistment. However, no official event will take place on Mingyu’s start date or when he reports to the training center later. Similarly, Seungkwan and Dino’s enlistment ceremony will be attended by many recruits and families. Therefore, fans are kindly asked to refrain from visiting the sites.
After starting their service, Mingyu, Seungkwan, and Dino will be unable to participate in SEVENTEEN’s scheduled group activities. However, all three have prepared various pre-recorded content in advance. This will allow them to stay connected with CARATs during their absence. The agency asks fans to send their warm messages of support through Weverse.
Previously, PLEDIS Entertainment confirmed the enlistment schedules for two other members. Vernon will begin his public service on August 20. DK will enlist as an active-duty soldier on September 8. As a result, five SEVENTEEN members—Vernon, DK, Mingyu, Seungkwan, and Dino—will begin their military duties between August and October.
