On the July 12 episode of MBC’s variety show Best Peaks, RESCENE members Liv, Zena, and May appeared as guests to share insights into their lives after moving into a brand-new home.
During the broadcast, the members explained that their rising success had finally allowed them to relocate to a much larger dorm. While they still share bedrooms, their sleeping arrangements have become significantly more comfortable. The group revealed that they previously had to squeeze two or three people into a single room. In their new home, however, the rooms are divided into configurations of two, two, and one. The only member who enjoys a private room to herself is the group’s eldest member, Woni.
May also highlighted how much more spacious the new residence is, despite still being a villa-style home. “The space is much bigger now,” she said. “We used to have only one bathroom, but now we have three.”
Host Boom jokingly chimed in, guessing that the members must have spent a lot of time waiting in line to use the restroom at their old dorm. Liv surprised everyone by replying with a bright smile, “No, we actually all just showered together.” The members also happily shared that their new bathrooms feature built-in bathtubs, making their daily routines far more comfortable than before.
RESCENE had previously teased their highly anticipated relocation during a guest appearance on JTBC’s Knowing Bros. At the time, members Woni and Minami recalled the difficult conditions of their debut dorm, noting that the group’s agency started out very small.
They jokingly remembered the old building feeling as though it might collapse at any moment. They also shared an amusing anecdote about how turning on the air conditioner would cause the outdoor unit to vibrate so violently that downstairs neighbors would frequently come up to complain.
Back then, the members excitedly revealed that their CEO had promised them an upgraded dorm complete with three bathrooms—news that was met with warm congratulations from both the show’s cast and their fans.
The group’s new 67-pyeong (approximately 2,384 square feet) residence was officially unveiled on the July 11 episode of MBC’s Omniscient Interfering View (also known as The Manager), drawing massive attention from viewers who were thoroughly impressed by the dramatic upgrade to the members’ living environment.
