Haewon, a member of the girl group NMIXX, has captured the internet’s attention by sharing new photos that address the recent viral discourse surrounding her dramatic hairstyle change.

On July 12, several photos of Haewon were uploaded to NMIXX’s official members’ X (formerly Twitter) account, accompanied by the brief caption, “Before work, after work.” In the newly released images, Haewon showcases a voluminous, wavy hairstyle that cascades below her shoulders, exuding a mature and elegant charm.
Alongside the glamorous look, she also shared photos with a completely different vibe—gazing into the camera in comfortable, casual clothing, making fans’ hearts flutter with her signature cute and lovely visuals.

These photos serve as a follow-up to the massive online debate sparked just a few days prior. On July 9, while departing for NMIXX’s first world tour performance in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, Haewon shocked fans by debuting a bold, choppy short bob that barely reached her shoulders—a stark contrast to her signature long locks.
Because she had never attempted such a short style since her debut, fans immediately began speculating about the sudden change. Following the overwhelming influx of questions, Haewon personally took to the fan communication platform Bubble to clarify the situation.
“I didn’t actually cut my hair; it just broke off on its own because it was so damaged,” Haewon confessed, quickly putting rumors to rest. She added, “I won’t be performing on stage with this short hair. The same goes for the fan signing events.”

Now that updates have shown Haewon back to her usual long-haired look—likely using high-quality extensions—fans who initially cheered for the short hair are expressing both their admiration for the new waves and a playful sense of nostalgia for the brief bob era. Meanwhile, NMIXX is currently meeting international fans through their first world tour, EPISODE 1: ZERO FRONTIER, in Kaohsiung.
