On July 7th, IU uploaded a short video on her official social media accounts, giving fans a glimpse into her current status. The update was filmed while she was on her way to attend the handprinting ceremony for the 5th Blue Dragon Series Awards, which took place at CGV Yongsan I’Park Mall in Yongsan-gu, Seoul.

Having won the prestigious Best Actress award at last year’s ceremony for her standout performance in the Netflix series When Life Gives You Tangerines, IU attended this year’s event as a reigning winner.

However, the final handprinting results didn’t go quite as smoothly as planned. Upon seeing her finished plaque, IU playfully expressed her dissatisfaction and regret, saying, “I did feel like something went wrong, but I couldn’t take it out.”

Aside from her entertainment activities, IU continues to make headlines for her heartwarming philanthropy. Earlier this year, she donated 100 million won under the name ‘IUaena’ (a combination of IU and her fandom, Uaena) on Children’s Day (May 5th), followed by a generous 300 million won donation on her birthday on May 16th.
