MBC announced on June 10 that Gong Hyo Jin, Jung Jun Won, Lee Sang Yi, and Sung Dong Il will star together in the new Friday-Saturday drama “Married Woman Killer.”
The series is based on the KakaoPage webtoon of the same name and brings together director Yoon Jong-ho from “Lovely Runner” and writer Kim Eun-hee from “Ghost Doctor.” It follows the double life of a working mom who is an office worker by day and a killer by night.
Gong Hyo Jin, who has enjoyed success with dramas such as “When the Camellia Blooms” and “Don’t Dare to Dream,” will play Yoo Bona, the killer. She returns to MBC for the first time in 15 years since “The Greatest Love” (2011). Jung Jun Won will take on the role of Kwon Taesung, an investigative journalist tracking the killer and also Yoo Bona’s husband. Lee Sang Yi plays Lee Dongjin, a persistent detective in the violent crimes unit relentlessly pursuing the killer. Sung Dong Il will appear as Kim Bongpal, Yoo Bona’s reliable supporter.
The first episode will air in July.
