On May 26, ABD opened its official social media accounts and released six short films introducing the label’s brand identity and upcoming rookie girl group set to debut later this year.
Among the revealed members, one trainee quickly became a major topic online after fans recognized her as Jihyo’s youngest sister.
Born in 2008, she has reportedly spent years training in preparation for her debut. In the newly released videos, viewers immediately noticed her striking resemblance to Jihyo, especially her sharp facial features and expressive eyes.
With her debut confirmed, all three of Jihyo’s sisters will now officially be active in the entertainment industry.
Jihyo is already widely loved around the world as the leader and main vocalist of TWICE, while her younger sister Lee Ha Eum, also known as Park Ji Young, has been pursuing an acting career through web dramas.
Now, with the youngest sibling preparing to debut in a girl group, many fans are calling the family a newly emerging “celebrity family.”
ABD is a newly established label launched by HYBE and is said to specialize in girl group production systems.
The company is led by CEO Noh Ji Won, who previously served as head of artist planning at Pledis Entertainment. Meanwhile, veteran producer Han Sung Soo, who has worked on groups such as SEVENTEEN, After School, IZ*ONE, and TWS, will oversee the group’s overall production.
With HYBE’s new girl group project already attracting major attention, anticipation is expected to grow even further now that Jihyo’s youngest sister has officially joined the lineup.
