You Quiz on the Block is set to meet viewers with a special episode themed “Living Life This Hard.”
The 345th episode of the tvN variety show, airing on May 27, will feature actress Park Ji Hyun as a guest.
According to the production team, Park Ji Hyun will share behind-the-scenes stories from the movie Wild Sing, where she transformed into the center member of the retro co-ed idol group “Triangle,” a concept already gaining attention through previews.
She is also expected to reveal how she studied Lee Hyori of Fin.K.L as inspiration while building her character.
In particular, viewers will hear the surprising story of how Park Ji Hyun lost focus during one-shot scenes while acting alongside Kang Dong Won and Uhm Tae Goo during intense practice sessions. Her solo performance of “Love is” will also be unveiled for the first time.
The show will additionally highlight the unexpected transformation of actors usually known for their introverted personalities, revealing how they completely immersed themselves on camera. Park Ji Hyun’s entertaining “human copy machine” talent is also expected to bring laughter.
Now celebrating her 10th year as an actress, Park Ji Hyun will candidly reflect on her personal journey. She plans to talk about her childhood passion for role-playing, her impressive academic years that included scoring over 900 points on the TOEIC exam, and how attending the Department of Spanish Language at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies helped strengthen her dream of becoming an actress.
The actress will also revisit her difficult rookie years, during which she reportedly failed more than 100 auditions before finally finding success.
Her steady growth through projects such as Reborn Rich, Hidden Face, and You and Everything Else will also be discussed during the broadcast.
In addition, Park Ji Hyun is expected to move viewers emotionally by sharing previously untold family stories, including how she personally consulted her father, who battled cancer as a doctor himself, while preparing to portray a terminal cancer patient in You and Everything Else.
She will also express her deep affection for co-star Kim Go Eun and speak honestly about the future she envisions for herself 10 years from now.
