On May 19, Soyou appeared on the YouTube web variety show “Desperate Mouth” released through the YouTube channel Studio Suze. During the episode, the singer who recently made a comeback with her new album “Off Hours” opened up about her successful investment story.
Although Soyou admitted that she does not know much about stocks, she explained, “I really don’t know anything about investing, but 10 years ago I put in 100 million KRW because I wanted to learn about it, and I just left it there.”

She continued, “Recently, the profits from those stocks became a huge help when purchasing my house.”
Soyou also appeared to confirm that she recently bought a home and is currently preparing to move. Last month, she revealed her luxury villa in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul during an appearance on the YouTube channel “This Changsub & That Changsub.” At the time, she shared that she had been living there for six years and would soon be relocating.
The villa is reportedly known for requiring a 100 million KRW deposit along with monthly rent estimated at around 13 million KRW. Soyou explained that the property operates under a unique rental system in which tenants prepay a full year’s rent instead of signing a traditional lease agreement.

She said, “People see shorts saying things like, ‘Soyou lives in a 12 million KRW home,’ but I moved in early when the price was still lower.”
Soyou also candidly spoke about changes in her personal life. She shared, “Originally, I thought I would live in this house until I got married. But after I completely stopped thinking about marriage, I felt there was no reason to continue living there.”
When asked by Lee Changsub where she planned to move next, Soyou declined to reveal the location. She explained, “I can’t say where it is because recently sasaeng fans even came right to my front door.”
