At a time when infidelity allegations are surging, rapper Yang Hong Won‘s past track “ROSE” has surged into the upper ranks of major music charts.
As of October 29, “ROSE” ranked No. 5 on Apple Music Korea’s “Today’s Top 100” chart. On Spotify’s domestic daily chart, the track made a dramatic jump from its previous position at No. 176 into the top ranks at No. 48. It also entered Melon’s Rap/Hip-Hop chart at No. 7.

“ROSE” is a B-side track from his 2019 full-length album Stranger, released seven years ago. Despite being an older track, it appears to have resurfaced and gained renewed public attention due to the recent controversy surrounding Yang Hong Won.
Meanwhile, Yang Hong Won became embroiled in infidelity allegations after an acquaintance, “A,” claimed that the rapper headed to a motel with another woman following a performance in Suwon last month.
Yang Hong Won’s agency acknowledged that he went to the motel with the woman but firmly denied the affair allegations. They clarified that they only moved there to sleep while intoxicated and that no improper relationship took place. The agency further claimed that “A” threatened the rapper while demanding money, and filed a criminal complaint against “A” on charges including extortion.
As the case unfolds, “A” posted a message on their Instagram Story on October 28 reading, “Deleting IG, please unfollow on your own,” hinting at the deletion of their social media account without revealing the reason.
Yang Hong Won has been in a relationship with model Won Hyun Joo since 2017. The two legally became husband and wife after registering their marriage in 2023, and it was reported that they held their official wedding ceremony on October 18.
