On May 11, Lee Chaeyeon’s agency DayOneDream released an interview video through official social media channels, where the singer discussed her comeback, personal growth, and dedication to the stage.

During the interview, Lee Chaeyeon reflected on her activities during her hiatus, including appearing on soccer-themed variety shows and running her YouTube channel.

“I wanted to stay active in many different ways so that my fandom, Chaerish, wouldn’t feel the gap during my break,” she explained. “I feel happiest and most fulfilled when Chaerish are happy.”

Lee Chaeyeon expressed particular affection for her title track “No Tears On The Dancefloor (NTOTD),” saying she immediately knew it was the right song for her comeback.

“The moment I first heard it, I thought, ‘This is it.’ It felt overwhelming in a good way,” she shared. “I believed it was the perfect song to introduce a new version of myself at a new company.”

The artist also participated directly in creating the choreography for the track.

“I thought the choreography needed to make the emotions of the song feel more sincere and impactful, so I focused on that while working on it,” she explained.

Lee Chaeyeon candidly admitted that she often struggles with perfectionism and self-doubt, but also recognized her own growth as a performer.

“I think I’ve developed a kind of experience and professionalism,” she said. “Even without someone teaching me, I naturally find camera angles that look better and adjust choreography myself.”

“I hope this song can help people even a little when they face situations they need to overcome,” she said warmly.

Closing the interview, Lee Chaeyeon thanked her fandom Chaerish for continuously supporting her through every stage of her career.
