Dohee, a member of the girl group SAY MY NAME, revealed a look into her daily life after visiting her family’s home during her vacation to help out with farming. Her down-to-earth image, which contrasts starkly with her glamorous presence on stage, is becoming a hot topic among fans.
In an SMN log vlog video released on the group’s official YouTube channel on October 27, Dohee shared her simple daily routine as she traveled down to her hometown of Jangheung to help her family with farm work.
In the video, Dohee appeared in comfortable clothing paired with round glasses. She shared, “I came down to Jangheung after getting a vacation,” adding, “Last time, I went to help harvest blueberries, but today I’m going to spread fertilizer for rice farming.”
Jokingly, she said, “While the other members are all filming fun content, I ended up becoming a farmer all by myself.” She then radiated her cute charm by adding, “My last vlog made me look too much like a primitive person, so I drew on a little bit of eyebrow and eyeliner this time.”
After arriving at her family home and changing into work clothes, Dohee put on noise-canceling headphones and fertilizer equipment to roll up her sleeves and help out. Sweating profusely, she used machinery to spread fertilizer across the rice paddy while also manually carrying sacks of fertilizer by hand.
After finishing the hard labor, Dohee sincerely expressed, “I only realized how hard my uncles, aunt, and grandfather work every single day after trying it out myself. I am truly thankful to my family for farming every year so that we can enjoy delicious meals.”
After completing the farm work, Dohee enjoyed a snack consisting of watermelon freshly picked from the field before embarking on an impromptu trip to Tongyeong and Geoje with her mother.
Starting off with her first-ever mukbang of Chungmu gimbap, Dohee visited a dessert shop in Geoje to enjoy a long-awaited date with her mother. Visiting the famous Geoje tourist spot Windy Hill, she showcased warm mother-daughter chemistry by shouting “Geoje Yaho!” alongside her mother.
In response to Dohee’s humble and commendable updates, which contrast with her dazzling idol appearance on stage, fans responded enthusiastically, commenting, “An idol doing rice farming during her vacation? Gaining widespread attention as the first girl group produced by former TVXQ member Kim Jae Joong, SAY MY NAME is set to hold a solo concert titled 2026 SAY MY NAME FANNECT in PARIS on November 16 at the Salle Pleyel in Paris, France.
