While the striking design captivated audiences, a debate quickly emerged regarding the outfit’s functional safety—specifically whether a strapless tube top is suitable for a performance requiring energetic arm and upper-body movements.

BABYMONSTER officially kicked off their world tour with the 2026–27 BABYMONSTER WORLD TOUR [CHOOM] IN SEOUL, held at Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul from June 26 to 28.

During the concert, Ahyeon performed in a black tube top revealing her shoulders and collarbone, styled with cascading silver crystal embellishments along the bust line, intricate waist details, a double-strand pearl necklace, long black gloves, and matching pearl arm accessories.

However, issues arose due to the structure of the strapless top, which lacked any visible or secure fastening mechanism. As the choreography demanded active upper-body movement and high arm reaches, Ahyeon was seen frequently looking down at her top and subtly covering her chest with her hair to prevent a potential wardrobe malfunction. These uncomfortable adjustments continued through the final stages of the concert.

Stage outfits should balance glamour with structural functionality. When a performance involves demanding routine routines, proper garment support is essential so artists can focus entirely on their performance without constant concern for costume security.
